He was very flexible in meeting me all around the area and even met at properties I had found online that he probably knew I wouldn’t like! As stated by another reviewer, “he picks up the phone!!! If you call him or email him, he either picks up or contacts you back in an hour, usually in 15 minutes.” This is true. His responsiveness was amazing. He was very solid on the advice he gave and often gave insight into the flaws of a property (resale, neighbors, etc) that I would overlook because I was in awe with a certain feature and couldn’t look past it. When beginning my search for a home I asked a co-worker if he knew of a good realtor. (I’ve often found that personal recommendations are far better than random web searches.) My co-worker informed me that he had actually just finished buying and selling with Rob Walton. His comment to me was, “Yeah, he’s pretty good”, and coming from this often understated co-worker that meant that he thought Rob was very impressive. Not knowing what to expect, I took the information and tempered my enthusiasm as is my custom. From the introductory email all the way through the post-closing arrangements I can now clearly and confidently say that my co-worker was 100% correct. Rob is AWESOME! The rating scale above is accurate. Rob knows the area. He’s familiar with every part of Raleigh and its surrounding areas. He spent four months, being very patient, and venturing all over to help me find my new home (amazing place). Being a first time home buyer I needed someone that could guide me through this complex process and provide needed advice and good judgement. Rob definitely understands the legal side of the business and makes sure his clients make the best decisions by arming them with any information they want. He uses technology to maintain an insanely high level of responsiveness. Concerning negotiation, he’s the guy you want on your side. He’ll let you know when he thinks it’s a bad deal, when the seller is being too slow, when you should ask for more, when you should step away, and when it’s time to make your offer. He’s assertive and aggressive on your behalf while remaining patient and being a great listener when it comes to you as the client. If anyone is looking for an agent in the Triangle, you’ve got to call this guy. Let’s put it this way, I’m actually sad that the home search is over because Rob is just that great to work with. If I or anyone I know ever needs a realtor then there’s no question about my recommendation: Rob Walton.
